Neurodivergent Men’s Support Group

Unique Challenges Faced by Neurodivergent Men

  1. Men, particularly, Neurodivergent Men and those with ADHD, face some unique challenges and difficulties in the modern world, such as:
  2. Men with ADHD (ADD) live 13 years less, on average, than then their Neurotypical Peers. (SEE HERE)
  3. In 2021, over 7 in 10 suicides (73%) in England were of Men. (SEE HERE)
It is the single biggest killer of young Men (under 50)!#In 2023, over 9 in 10 people (93%) in Prisons in the England & Wales in 2023 are Men. (SEE HERE)
  4. In March 2023, Men who are living rough on the street, outnumber women at a ratio of six to one. (SEE HERE)
  5. Young Men are 35% less likely then Young Women to participate and graduate in University. (SEE HERE)

Impact on Neurodivergent Men

Even where some of these statistics relate to Men/Males in general, it is very clear, from the research available, that those with ADHD and Neurodivergence would make up a significant proportion of these numbers. Particularly given the fact that ND Men are three times more likely to suffer from anxiety, depression (and RSD) than their NT peers (SEE HERE). Coupled with much lower levels of achievement in education and earnings compared to their NT peers (SEE HERE)!

Our Response: Peer Support for Neurodivergent Men

To address these challenges, we are launching a Neurodivergent Men’s Support Group, providing a safe, informal space where men with ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions can connect, share experiences, and explore coping strategies together. This is a chance to reduce feelings of isolation, hear from others who understand your struggles, and create a supportive community.

Our Neurodivergent Men’s Support Group is an inclusive space, welcoming cis men, trans men, and non-binary individuals who identify with the experience of being a man or navigating male-related challenges and issues.
